The PMX422 is a 110 Ohm DMX-AES cable which is especially developed for professional use in highly demanding applications. It’s 22 AWG (0.34 mm²) tinned copper conductors surrounded by an Aluminum foil and high coverage tinned copper braiding provide a double layered shielding. This ensures an optimal signal transmission with high immunity against noise and interference caused by external devices. The combination of stranded conductors and the smooth flexible PVC outer jacket provides a great flexibility with a solid feel. The dark grey outer jacket further improves the ease of use by making it easy to distinguish these 110 Ohm cables from standard microphone cables while remaining discrete in installations.

The 110Ω cables ensure a reliable digital signal link. Especially made for the transmission of DMX lighting control signals or AES signals for the exchange of digital audio signals between professional audio devices.
Aluminum foil shielding is ideal for reflecting electromagnetic interference (EMI) and is often used in combination with a braided wire to absorb EMI.
Tinned copper braid shielding provides superior physical protection, while maintaining good flexibility and flex life. These shields are the ideal choice for minimizing interference and have lower dc resistance than foil. The tin plating also adds to the copper in the cable as it not only helps to boost the copper’s properties, it also helps the wire to last much longer and counter acts against oxidation.
The flexible and solid PVC outer jacket makes it the perfect cable for many kinds of applications. The smooth outer jacket provides great and easy pulling capabilities to guide the cable through a truss or around a corner while still offering perfect rolling and unrolling performance for highly demanding mobile applications.
Tin is a useful plating for copper because it not only helps to boost copper’s properties, it also helps the wire to last much longer and counter acts against oxidation. Tin also helps to strengthen the copper wire, making it more resilient to breakage or lost connections, at the same time boosting the coppers conductivity.
For ease of installation these bulk cables are provided with an indication on every meter of the cable. This enables installers to have a clear and efficient indication of how many meters they still have available on their reel.
