The REF901 is a microphone cable constructed using the RMC305 cable and fitted with a 3-pin XLR male connector and a 3-pin female XLR connector. The cable has a highly flexible jacket made of PVC and is easy to handle. Two insulated and twisted conductors of 0.22 mm² are provided inside the cable. The durable shielding gives an excellent protection against interference of all kinds, such as electromagnetic fields caused by dimmers, motors or power cables. The RMC305 is an all-round microphone cable with an O.D of 5,9 mm and is suited for all kinds of applications where reliable signal transmission is needed. The premade cable comes in lengths of 1.5 meters to 30 meters, providing solutions for all applications.
Shrink sleeves are meant to protect company logo’s or cable tags, they are factory installed for the purpose of placing a cable tag without the need to detach the connector. The heat shrink tubing can be easily shrunk by means of a heat gun. The sleeves are not lined with glue and have a length of 60mm. To achieve the most optimal care for your cable connection the sleeve is best to be placed 30 cm from the connector.
The connectors that are fitted with gold plated contacts have the advantage of preventing oxidation and maintain performance after years of use. Another great property of gold is that it is an excellent electrical conductor. For comparison, if pure copper has a relative conductivity of 100 then gold is only 31% lower than copper, while nickel is 76% lower than copper.
