The DMX30 and DMX50 cables are designed for digital signal transmission according to the DMX and AES-EBU standards. These are the most important standards for professional on stage and broadcast use in the field of audio and video, requiring balanced cable connections with a characteristic impedance of 110 Ohm. The DMX30 is a cable for digital signal transmission with a characteristic impedance of 110 Ohm, consisting of two conductors with a section of 0.23 mm², while the DMX50 cable consists of four conductors with a section of 0.12 mm². They are both surrounded with an Aluminum foil and braiding, ensuring the best shielding of the cable, resulting in an excellent protection against interference of all kinds of electromagnetic fields, produced by dimmers, electric motors, power cables and many other electromagnetic interference sources.

The 110Ω cables ensure a reliable digital signal link. Especially made for the transmission of DMX lighting control signals or AES signals for the exchange of digital audio signals between professional audio devices.
Bare copper braid shielding provides superior physical protection, while maintaining good flexibility and flex life. These shields are ideal for minimizing interference at all frequencies and have a lower dc resistance than foil.
A stranded copper wire is more flexible and easier to install than a large single-strand wire with the same cross section. Stranding improves wire life in applications where flexibility is needed. A particular cross section of a stranded conductor gives it essentially the same resistance characteristics as a single-strand conductor, but with added flexibility.
Aluminum foil shielding is ideal for reflecting electromagnetic interference (EMI) and is often used in combination with a braided wire to absorb EMI.
For ease of installation these bulk cables are provided with an indication on every meter of the cable. This enables installers to have a clear and efficient indication of how many meters they still have available on their reel.
