The REF955 is a 110 Ohm DMX-AES cable constructed using the DMX50 cable and fitted with 5-pin XLR connectors. The DMX50 is a cable for digital signal transmission with a characteristic impedance of 110 Ohm, consisting of four conductors with a section of 0.12 mm². Surrounded with an Aluminum foil and braiding, ensuring the best shielding of the cable, resulting in an excellent protection against interference of all kinds of electromagnetic fields, produced by dimmers, electric motors, power cables and many other electromagnetic interference sources. The premade cables come in different lengths ranging from 1.5 meters to 20 meters, providing solutions for all applications.

The 110Ω cables ensure a reliable digital signal link. Especially made for the transmission of DMX lighting control signals or AES signals for the exchange of digital audio signals between professional audio devices.
Shrink sleeves are meant to protect company logo’s or cable tags, they are factory installed for the purpose of placing a cable tag without the need to detach the connector. The heat shrink tubing can be easily shrunk by means of a heat gun. The sleeves are not lined with glue and have a length of 60mm. To achieve the most optimal care for your cable connection the sleeve is best to be placed 30 cm from the connector.
The connectors that are fitted with gold plated contacts have the advantage of preventing oxidation and maintain performance after years of use. Another great property of gold is that it is an excellent electrical conductor. For comparison, if pure copper has a relative conductivity of 100 then gold is only 31% lower than copper, while nickel is 76% lower than copper.
