The PLP150 is a 110 Ohm DMX-AES 3-pin (male) to 5-pin (female) adapter cable, fitted with Neutrik XLR connectors and constructed using PMX222 cable. Some DMX controllers or lighting fixtures feature 5-pin connections, while others are fitted with 3-pin connections. This might cause troubles when the connectors and wiring of your entire system is not matching and the deadline of your production is approaching. Because of this, PROCAB designed the PLP150 and PLP155 adapters. The Neutrik connections in combination with Prime quality cabling guarantees a lifetime service life, while the short cable avoids tension and damage to the connections of your precious equipment. These adapter cables are true problem-solvers and a must for any production company of lighting engineers’ toolbox.
Shrink sleeves are meant to protect company logo’s or cable tags, they are factory installed for the purpose of placing a cable tag without the need to detach the connector. The heat shrink tubing can be easily shrunk by means of a heat gun. The sleeves are not lined with glue and have a length of 60mm. To achieve the most optimal care for your cable connection the sleeve is best to be placed 30 cm from the connector.
The flexible and solid PVC outer jacket makes it the perfect cable for many kinds of applications. The smooth outer jacket provides great and easy pulling capabilities to guide the cable through a truss or around a corner while still offering perfect rolling and unrolling performance for highly demanding mobile applications.
The 110Ω cables ensure a reliable digital signal link. Especially made for the transmission of DMX lighting control signals or AES signals for the exchange of digital audio signals between professional audio devices.
Neutrik is an international corporation with about 40 years of know-how and experience in the manufacture of innovative electrical and electronic interconnection products and systems.
The connectors that are fitted with silver contacts have the advantage of preventing oxidation and maintain performance after years of use. Silver has the highest conductivity, even better than copper and much better than gold. It's also soft, which means the mating connectors squeeze together making a larger contact area, and thus lower contact resistance. Silver is also easy to solder, which makes soldered connections to silver plated connectors likewise reliable and extremely conductive.
