The PRX656 is a HighFlex CAT6A S/FTP cable (BCT65S) assembled on a lightweight, extremely strong and impact resistant reel (CDM310). Both ends are terminated by Neutrik Ethercon connectors, allowing direct connection from transmitting to receiving end without any additional connections or patch cords. A connection tail of 5 meters (included in total reel length) is wounded to the front side cable winder. The conductor section of the BCT65S consists of 4 pairs with solid 24 AWG conductors which are individually shielded by an aluminum foil while the entire section is surrounded by an overall braiding. Due to the double shielding, better performance in terms of crosstalk and system noise is achieved resulting in a higher bandwidth and improved immunity against noise and interference caused by external devices. The combination with hard and solid inner jacket materials and soft outer jacket materials provides great flexibility with a solid touch. Even after numerous times of winding and unwinding. Supports 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, 1000Base-T and 10GBase-T gigabit.
The outer jacket of all PROCAB cables complying to IEC60332 will extinguish itself when that cable is briefly exposed to a small flame.
For ease of installation these bulk cables are provided with an indication on every meter of the cable. This enables installers to have a clear and efficient indication of how many meters they still have available on their reel.
The combination of a hard and solid inner jacket and a soft outer jacket provides great flexibility with a solid touch, even after numerous times of winding and unwinding.
The flexible and solid PVC outer jacket makes it the perfect cable for many kinds of applications. The smooth outer jacket provides great and easy pulling capabilities to guide the cable through a truss or around a corner while still offering perfect rolling and unrolling performance for highly demanding mobile applications.
CAT6A can handle a 10 gigabit network (10000Mbps at 500Mhz). This cable can bridge distances up to 100 meters.
The 100Ω cables are ideal for the transmission of digital signals. This impedance is mostly used in our wide range of UTP cables.
CAT5E can handle a gigabit Ethernet network (1000Mbps at 100Mhz) and is designed to reduce crosstalk better that CAT5.
CAT6 can handle a 10 gigabit network (10000Mbps at 250Mhz). This cable can bridge distances up to 100 meters.
Shrink sleeves are meant to protect company logo’s or cable tags, they are factory installed for the purpose of placing a cable tag without the need to detach the connector. The heat shrink tubing can be easily shrunk by means of a heat gun. The sleeves are not lined with glue and have a length of 60mm. To achieve the most optimal care for your cable connection the sleeve is best to be placed 30 cm from the connector.
The connectors that are fitted with gold plated contacts have the advantage of preventing oxidation and maintain performance after years of use. Another great property of gold is that it is an excellent electrical conductor. For comparison, if pure copper has a relative conductivity of 100 then gold is only 31% lower than copper, while nickel is 76% lower than copper.
