The CLA723 is a balanced instrument or microphone cable constructed using the MC104 cable and fitted with a stereo jack connector and a 3-pin female XLR connector. The 28 AWG (0.08 mm²) thin & dense stranded bare copper conductors are surrounded by a high coverage bare copper spiral shielding. The durable shielding gives an excellent protection against interference of all kinds, such as electromagnetic fields caused by dimmers, motors or power cables. The flexible jacket made of PVC and is easy to handle. Available in a length of 1.5 meters.

The connectors that are fitted with gold plated contacts have the advantage of preventing oxidation and maintain performance after years of use. Another great property of gold is that it is an excellent electrical conductor. For comparison, if pure copper has a relative conductivity of 100 then gold is only 31% lower than copper, while nickel is 76% lower than copper.
