Description

The CCT70S is a CAT7 installation networking cable featuring a Flamoflex™ outer jacket compliant to the IEC 60332-1 standard regarding fire and flammability resistance in public installations. The Flamoflex™ material is specifically designed with installers convenience in mind, offering a smooth and durable outer jacket for easy installation and pulling. The conductor section of the CCT70S consists of 4 pairs with stranded 23 AWG conductors which are individually shielded by an aluminum foil while the entire section is surrounced by an overall braiding. Due to the double shielding, better performance in terms of crosstalk and system noise is achieved resulting in a higher bandwidth and improved immunity against noise and interference caused by external devices. Supports 10Base-T, 100Base-TX and 1000Base-T gigabit networks.

Technology

Cable properties

IEC60332

The outer jacket of all PROCAB cables complying to IEC60332 will extinguish itself when that cable is briefly exposed to a small flame.

LSHF

LSHF stands for Low Smoke, Halogen Free. This term refers to Halogen free flame retardant thermoplastic material used as a sheathing compound in cables. In the event of a fire or when exposed to high levels of heat, the chemicals in the jacket removes heat from the flame, whilst the reaction produces water as a by-product to help quench the flame.  As a result, the cable will emit very low levels of smoke, and non-toxic levels of poisonous halogen gasses.

Meter indicator

For ease of installation these bulk cables are provided with an indication on every meter of the cable. This enables installers to have a clear and efficient indication of how many meters they still have available on their reel.

100 Ohm

The 100Ω cables are ideal for the transmission of digital signals. This impedance is mostly used in our wide range of UTP cables.

Solid copper

The signal cables consist of a solid inner conductor. Typically, you will find solid core wires in situations where the wire is not designed to be continuously flexed and where the wire may be exposed to corrosive elements or adverse weather condition. A solid copper core can achieve an even more compact diameter than a stranded wire with the same current carrying capability.

CAT7

CAT7 can handle a 10 gigabit network (10000Mbps at 600Mhz). This cable can bridge distances up to 100 meters.

Aluminum Foil

Aluminum foil shielding is ideal for reflecting electromagnetic interference (EMI) and is often used in combination with a braided wire to absorb EMI.

Tinned copper braiding

Tinned copper braid shielding provides superior physical protection, while maintaining good flexibility and flex life. These shields are the ideal choice for minimizing interference and have lower dc resistance than foil. The tin plating also adds to the copper in the cable as it not only helps to boost the copper’s properties, it also helps the wire to last much longer and counter acts against oxidation.
