The REF710 is fitted with two XLR male connectors and two XLR female connectors, the construction is made using the RIG58 cable. The easy to handle PVC jacket is excellent for fixed indoor and mobile applications. The RIG series cables are very high quality signal cables for indoor, fixed or mobile applications. They have a PVC jacket and are very easy to handle. The tin plated inner conductors are fitted with a durable tin plated copper shielding and an extra Aluminium -mylar foil. This gives an excellent protection against interference of all kinds such as electromagnetic fields produced by dimmers, electric motors or power cables. The RIG series cables are “all-round” signal cables which are suited for all kinds of applications where the best reliable signal transmission is needed. The premade cable comes in lengths of 0,5 up to 3 meters, providing solutions for all applications.
The connectors that are fitted with gold plated contacts have the advantage of preventing oxidation and maintain performance after years of use. Another great property of gold is that it is an excellent electrical conductor. For comparison, if pure copper has a relative conductivity of 100 then gold is only 31% lower than copper, while nickel is 76% lower than copper.
