The PAC62 is a high quality dual channel DMX-AES and power cable on one jacket. The cable consists of a power cable and two DMX-AES signal cables. A general outer jacket with an O.D. of 17 mm made of flexible PVC protects each inner cable against abrasion. The inner power cable contains 3 conductors with a section of 2.5 mm², protected by a PVC jacket with an O.D of 9 mm. The signal section consists of two separate DMX-AES channels which are each built-up from two twisted inner conductors with a section of 0.11mm², combined with an excellent shielding to prevent any influence of hum, noise, radio interference and magnetic fields. The signal section is also protected by an outer jacket of PVC with an O.D. of 5 mm. The PAC62 cable finds its application in mobile and fixed installation systems where power and DMX-AES signal are desired to be in one cable. The second DMX-AES channel can be used as second line, as spare line or depending on the application this additional line can be used for a large number of other purposes.

The cotton paper separator ensures less friction between the outer jacket and the PVS conductor isolation, creating good flexibility and flex life.
A stranded copper wire is more flexible and easier to install than a large single-strand wire with the same cross section. Stranding improves wire life in applications where flexibility is needed. A particular cross section of a stranded conductor gives it essentially the same resistance characteristics as a single-strand conductor, but with added flexibility.
Tinned copper braid shielding provides superior physical protection, while maintaining good flexibility and flex life. These shields are the ideal choice for minimizing interference and have lower dc resistance than foil. The tin plating also adds to the copper in the cable as it not only helps to boost the copper’s properties, it also helps the wire to last much longer and counter acts against oxidation.
