PUR

Aside from providing physical protection for the cable the outer Jacket also provides a smooth and safe touch for the user. Some outer jackets also provide aid in the instalment or better winding and unwinding properties. For safety regulations the outer jacket can also consist of materials that emit very low levels of smoke or will self-extinguish when exposed to flames. 

When flexibility, abrasion and oil resistance have to be guaranteed, PUR cables are an excellent choice. PUR is known for being Halogen free, not containing chlorine, iodine, fluorine, bromine or astatine.  This jacket type does however have a limited temperature range compared to the other jacket types, -40…80⁰C.
