The PRA900 is a high quality microphone cable constructed using the UltraFlex™ PMC224 cable and fitted with Neutrik 6.3 mm Jack (gold contacts, black jack shell) and female XLR connectors (Silver contacts, black metal XLR housing) . The 24 AWG (0.22 mm²) thin & dense stranded bare copper conductors are surrounded by a high coverage spiral shielding. In combination with the thick and soft PVC outer jacket, this provides a flexible but solid feel. The high-purity copper, high-coverage shielding and low capacitance guarantee an optimal signal transmission. The attached shrink sleeve allows custom labeling for easy identification. It comes in different lengths of 3 meters and 5 meters, providing solutions for all applications

Shrink sleeves are meant to protect company logo’s or cable tags, they are factory installed for the purpose of placing a cable tag without the need to detach the connector. The heat shrink tubing can be easily shrunk by means of a heat gun. The sleeves are not lined with glue and have a length of 60mm. To achieve the most optimal care for your cable connection the sleeve is best to be placed 30 cm from the connector.
The connectors that are fitted with gold plated contacts have the advantage of preventing oxidation and maintain performance after years of use. Another great property of gold is that it is an excellent electrical conductor. For comparison, if pure copper has a relative conductivity of 100 then gold is only 31% lower than copper, while nickel is 76% lower than copper.
The connectors that are fitted with silver contacts have the advantage of preventing oxidation and maintain performance after years of use. Silver has the highest conductivity, even better than copper and much better than gold. It's also soft, which means the mating connectors squeeze together making a larger contact area, and thus lower contact resistance. Silver is also easy to solder, which makes soldered connections to silver plated connectors likewise reliable and extremely conductive.
