The BXD630 is an active USB 3.2 Gen 1 extender cable, allowing extension between a USB host and devices up to 10 meters distance and with bitrates up to 5 Gbps. The cable is constructed using high-quality materials with high purity oxygen-free copper and flexible PVC. One side is terminated using a male USB type A connector, while the other is fitted with an active extender with a lockable female USB type A connector. Both ends feature a unique lockable mechanic design that securely links the male and female ends. It comes in a fixed length of 10 meters and a maximum of 5 extender cables can be daisy-chained with each, resulting in a maximum distance of up to 50 meters.

When using a single BXD630, no external power adapter has to be applied. When daisy-chaining two BXD630’s, an (optional) power supply should be applied to the last (device side) cable in the chain. When daisy chaining more than two (up to 5) BXD630’s, an (optional) power supply should be applied to the first (host side) and last (device side) cable in the chain.

Multi-platform support (Windows & Mac) and bus-powered construction (up to 3A or max. 15W) guarantee true plug & play operation.

Cable properties

Gold plated

The connectors that are fitted with gold plated contacts have the advantage of preventing oxidation and maintain performance after years of use. Another great property of gold is that it is an excellent electrical conductor. For comparison, if pure copper has a relative conductivity of 100 then gold is only 31% lower than copper, while nickel is 76% lower than copper.
