The RMC205 is a high quality instrument cable for indoor and outdoor use, and is suitable for mobile and fixed applications. The cable has a highly flexible jacket made of PVC and is easy to handle. One insulated conductor of 0.22 mm² is provided inside the cable for best unbalanced signal transmission. The durable shielding gives an excellent protection against interference of all kinds, such as electromagnetic fields caused by dimmers, motors or power cables. The RMC205 is an “all-round” instrument cable with an O.D of 5.9 mm and is suited for all kinds of applications where reliable unbalanced signal transmission is needed.

Bare copper spiral is even more flexible than a braided shielding. This type of shield is constructed by wrapping the shield material in one direction around the conductors. Spiral shields are most effective in the use of cable where audio signals are transmitted.
A stranded copper wire is more flexible and easier to install than a large single-strand wire with the same cross section. Stranding improves wire life in applications where flexibility is needed. A particular cross section of a stranded conductor gives it essentially the same resistance characteristics as a single-strand conductor, but with added flexibility.
For ease of installation these bulk cables are provided with an indication on every meter of the cable. This enables installers to have a clear and efficient indication of how many meters they still have available on their reel.
